Lake Macquarie’s Aboriginal community is our connection to the world’s oldest continuous culture. Here, they speak about history and identity, about giving back to the community, and about the places around our region close to their heart.

Whether it’s Aboriginal elders, who contribute so much to passing on knowledge and wisdom, Indigenous families who call Lake Mac home, or youths full of hope and promise, at the beginning of their life journey, their portraits and the words they share here aim to inspire us all.
