Update to Services at Lake Mac Libraries

In response to the rapidly-developing COVID-19 situation, we have temporarily closed all of our libraries until further notice.

This decision has been made following the latest advice from NSW health in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Please note that the proposed ‘Click and Collect’ service has also been cancelled.

This follows the announcement of new public health orders from the NSW Government which restricts anyone from leaving their home without a ‘reasonable excuse’.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lake Mac Libraries will continue to offer a range of resources, content and programs on our website and via our new app.

A fortnightly home delivery service will also be made available to eligible members.

Home Delivery Service

A unique home delivery service will be available once a fortnight for eligible members.

This is designed to assist members who have limited mobility, accessibility issues or are on forced quarantine.

Based on assessment and availability, books will be delivered within a fortnightly rotation.

Please contact us on 4921 0493 (10am-2pm Monday to Friday) or email lakelibraries@lakemac.nsw.gov.au to discuss suitable options.

E-Resources

There are a huge range of E-Resources available online on our website including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, comics and free music.

The new ‘Lake Mac Libraries’ app is free to download and provides instant access to our entire collection of E-Resources. Simply login with your library card or join online to get started.

Ancestry Online and Find My Past are available for home use. Login with your library card and follow the links at the bottom of your account summary page.

Existing Loans

All existing loans have been extended until at least May 4. This will be reassessed and extended as needed.

While return chutes remain open at this stage, we strongly encourage borrowers to follow the latest advice from the NSW Government and NSW Health.

If you have items on loan, don't worry about rushing to return them to your local branch. No fines will be issued at this time.
