There’s no need to be stuck inside these winter school holidays, with bookings now open for a massive range of activities and programs around Lake Mac.
From Star Wars-inspired Lego workshops to printmaking for beginners, Council has something happening for all ages and interests.
The holiday program will kick off Monday 3 July, with a free story time and craft session in celebration of NAIDOC week, at Charlestown Library.
Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser said doing school holiday activities was a great way to meet friends and learn new skills.
“There’s a wonderful range of programs on offer, with exciting things happening all across our city,” she said.
For those wanting to build water confidence, week-long learn-to-swim intensives will run from 3-14 July at West Wallsend and Charlestown Swim Centres.
The program will conclude at SEEN@Swansea on Saturday 15 July, where young entrepreneurial thinkers can harness their creative ideas into a reality, during a ‘Build your business’ workshop.
“It’s programs like these that build on passions and encourage our young people to believe in themselves,” Cr Fraser said.
