Learn the meaning behind the symbols in Aboriginal art and how the use of symbols can tell our stories and experiences. Let your imagination take you on a journey through your own story and create a simple Aboriginal artwork to take home.
Suitable for ages 4 and up.
Children must be accompanied by an adult

About the artist: Jodie Reynolds is a local Aboriginal artist in Lake Macquarie.
From the Kamilaroi nation, Jodie was born and raised on Awabakal land. She is inspired by family, community, nature and country. Sharing stories and experiences, connecting with her cultural heritage. She brings knowledge, storytelling and creative arts to her workshops.
About the venue: Windale Hub, bilyabayi
Windale Hub has a rear car park accessible from Shade Lane. There is 1 accessible car park with a ramp leading to the building. The building also has an internal ramp.
There is a second entry to the library on Lake Street with 2-hour parking available. The library has accessible toilet and all meeting rooms have a hearing loop.
