Belmont Lagoon has held cultural significance for Awabakal people for thousands of years. Learn more about its history.

Presenting on behalf of Bahtabah Land Council, Kentan Proctor will provide a history of Belmont Lagoon including the geology of the area and intertwining cultural history. Kentan will include some genuine wood and stone artefacts as part of his discussion. Belmont Lagoon is situated between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Macquarie in the community of Belmont.
