How do you grow food on Mars? How do high-speed trains work? How do plants communicate?
The Curious Minds hands-on science exhibition is a fun way to learn about science. Students have created interactive exhibits to communicate and explore topics across space exploration, astronomy, earth and environmental science, biology, physics, and engineering. The exhibition has been imagined and built by year 9 and 10 students from Belmont High School, Cardiff High School, Erina High School and Rutherford Technology High School.
This initiative is supported by Inspiring Australia
The exhibition is currently on display at Windale HubMonday - Friday: 9am- 4pmSaturday: 9am - 12pm
About Curious Minds Exhibition
Lake Mac Libraries Fab Lab ran a Science Technology and Art and Maths Challenge with an Inspiring Australia grant.
Schools were invited to participate in a day of supercharged STEAM fun at the Lake Mac Libraries Fab Lab. Students worked in teams through a creator workshop to craft an interactive learning experience to spark curiosity and unveil a key concept of science and technology. Each team of six students developed and built an engaging activity to form the basis of a hands-on science exhibit for the community. The workshops developed STEAM skills including innovation, creativity, design engineering and electronics.
