Join writer and comedian Jennifer Wong (Chopsticks or Fork? The Cook Up, Celebrities Letters and Numbers) for an interactive workshop that will make your writing sparkle with humour. By learning how to use your comedy toolbox, you'll be able to make people laugh whether you're writing a speech, a short story, or a personal essay. This session is suitable for writers of all levels and is designed not only for people interested in writing funny, but in being better communicators. Jennifer Wong is a writer and comedian. She is the co-author of Chopsticks or Fork?: Recipes and Stories from Australia’s Regional Chinese Restaurants (Hardie Grant), and a contributor to the anthology Admissions: Voices within Mental Health (Upswell).
Her humorous writing about food, culture, and mental health has appeared in The Guardian, ABC News, SBS Food, Monocle, and The Big Issue. She has reported on arts and books as the presenter of Bookish (ABC iview), and as a contributor to Radio National’s Books and Arts program.
Jennifer is the presenter of Chopsticks or Fork? (ABC iview), and creator and host of FEAST: live community storytelling events for food and story enthusiasts.
As a comedian, she has sold out shows around Australia, most recently Jennifer Wong Has No Peripheral Vision (2023) and The Sweet and Sour Hour of Power (2024).

Windale Hub has a rear car park accessible from Shade Lane. There is one accessible car park with a ramp leading to the building. The building also has an internal ramp. There is a second entry to the library on Lake Street with 2-hour parking available. The library has accessible toilet and all meeting rooms have a hearing loop.
