Join artist Jen Denzin to create art from books
Pop in and paint sessions open to all ages and all levels of artistic ability.
Can join at anytime during the session.
Jen will work with participants to create an installation art work out of recycled books.
The art work titled 'One Thousand Leaves: A Space Odyssey' will be an interactive 3-dimensional ‘twist-a-plot' comprised of roughly 25 book cubes (made from books glued together) arranged vertically. Each cube will have 4 faces- to be printed/decorated by members of the public during the Lake Macquarie Book Fair.
'One Thousand Leaves: A Space Odyssey' will operate like a ‘choose–your-own-adventure' book where library patrons will determine what the outcome of the artwork will be with every interaction. Each cube is rotatable so different combinations of cube faces will make different artworks, like an antique block puzzle.
