FAST will traverse culturally and historically significant parts of Belmont, including Belmont Lagoon, and a series of public artworks along the route will express connection to Country and the area’s cultural significance.
Local Aboriginal Artist, Saretta Fielding has been working with local Elders and students in the southeast of the City, to inform designs for a viewing platform that will be part of the FAST Shared Pathway experience.
This digital exhibition includes student contributions from the following schools:
Caves Beach, Kahibah, Pelican Flats, Marks Point, and Swansea Public School.
The FAST Shared Pathway project was commissioned by Lake Macquarie City Council, co-funded by the NSW government through its Regional Growth Environment and Tourism Fund. It is due for completion in 2023.
