Young Dobell - Launchpad

The inaugural Young Dobell Competition is part of the Lake Macquarie Dobell Festival and is a celebration of young Australian talent. The competition is for artists between the ages of 5 and 18 and participants were invited to submit a portrait of ‘someone who is special to them and plays a significant role in their life’ or a landscape of a ‘special Lake Macquarie location’.

22 of the finalists - including the winners and highly commended recipients - are on view at Wangi Creative Hub From October 24th until February 2nd as a part of the Launchpad @ Lake Mac Libraries exhibition program.
