Come and learn something new and create something beautiful
This workshop gives participants the opportunity to start their textile journey or expand their current knowledge with new techniques. Hosted by by the knowledgable and experienced NCEATA(Newcastle Creative Embroiderers and Textile Artists), you will have the oppportunity to learn techniques such as KumiHimo briaiding, Applique, machine embellishing, felting, and Boro stitching. Everyone that attends will have a completed textile art piece of their own to take home with them!
About NCEATA
NCEATA was first formed in Newcastle over forty years ago. Newcastle Creative Embroiderers and Textile Artists have been bringing together dynamic textile artists of all skill levels to share, learn and network. NCEATA meet twice a month in Adamstown to chat and stitch. NCEATA will also be appearing for 'stitch-ins' at Charlestown Library throughout October, and will be showing their yearly exhibition of works from October as part of the Launchpad@Lake Mac Libraries program.
