Kathryn deBoer

Kathryn deBoer hosts a solo show of her artwork. Working in acrylics, Kathryn uses her brushstrokes to capture the colour and textures of native flower arrangements. Taking inspiration from bridal flowers, her colours are sometimes soft and delicate, or luscious and vibrant. Kathryn loves taking the viewer deep into the blooms, bringing out the subtle colours of petals and leaves.

Kathryn also takes inspiration from her lake home, creating images of lakescapes she sees from her window on the Lake.

Kathryn will also be hosting a live demonstration of her painting and hosting a free workshop to teach her flower painting methods.

 

Demonstration: 3rd of June at Wangi Library Creative Hub. Free, drop in between 10am and 3pm
